Hello Make Noise Members
7th June 2007
Well it's been a long time since we were last in touch with you but I hope you'll think it's been well worth the wait.
This latest newsletter features two of our fellow Make Noise members and friends of Make Hay, one of which is offering you a chance of a lifetime so don't miss out!
Environmental Expedition :: Be Involved!
Whether you're the adventurous type or prefer to offer support from the safety of your office chair, captain of the Earth Reporter David Pike wants you.
For the past 4 years David has been preparing his yacht for an expedition which will begin with crossing over the Atlantic Ocean to Angra Dos Reis in Brazil. His amazing voyage will educate us all about places many of us have never seen and promote respect for our planet.

Via objective and factual documentaries he plans to tackle many issues such as wildlife, conservation, culture, pollution and poverty and, in his words, "tell the stories that no one is telling or wants to tell".
David feels passionately about the environment and what we, as human beings, are doing to it and he certainly 'walks his talk'. The yacht itself is eco-friendly, built of concrete rather than plastic and powered by clean fuel, sun and wind.
So, what can you do?

There are so many ways you can contribute to this expedition that there's no room to list them all here.
To name a few the opportunities range from actually sailing with David and his crew to making your own film, providing equipment, taking up 'floating advertising space', showing off your artistic talents, helping him to publicise and much, much more.
Don't miss out!

If you're intrigued and just have to know more then there is an interview with David over on Green Girls Global. There he tells us in detail about his motivation, his dreams and expectations and the many opportunities for you to make your mark along with him.
Like he says, "swap your carbon footprint for a pair of deck shoes or flippers" and promote real change!
Find out more by visiting David's MySpace page, contact him directly on keepdreaming360@yahoo.com or make a comment on Green Girls Global.

Charities and charity supporters and companies , pay attention!
Charities - here's an opportunity to recieve financial support of potentially £16 per supporter per year.
Charity supporters - you can help raise money for your favourite charity without spending a penny or moving away from your computer screen.
Companies - Here's an online sponsorship platform that can help drive traffic to your website.
"Too good to be true!" I hear you shout? Well its all for real and here's how:
Everyclick is a search engine with a difference. They provide 50% of their revenue to charities. When Lianne Butler, Everyclick's CSR Coordinator, told me this my initial response was "Wow, that's a lot!"
Plus, their number of users are growing all the time (850,000 in March 2007) which means that more and more people want to raise funds for their favourite charity whilst searching the internet.
Joining is easy, whether as a supporter or a charity. Go and check them out at www.everyclick.com.
Remember!
Please spread the word about Make Noise and the organisations we talk about to friends, family, colleagues, everyone!
